7th AND 8th grade girls track teams place 1st at Conference

Yukon Middle School girls track teams have finished the season with over 50 medalists at the conference meet on April 19th.  Seventh grade had four overall champions, 8th grade had one individual champion.

Champions for 7th grade were Kaley Morey in the 800 run with a time of 2 minutes and 39 seconds, Lexi Andis in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 53 seconds, Charlie Cross in the Disc with a distance of 76 feet and 8 inches, and Katelyn Henderson in Shotput with a distance of 28 feet and 5.5 inches.

Rylee Cain brought home the best score in High Jump with the height of 4 foot 8 inches.

Eighth grade had 24 medalists and placed first in the conference.  Seventh grade had 29 medalists and also placed first in the conference.

This is the first time YMS has ever won both girl divisions.
